Deb Kvamme

Deb teaches courses in Greenhouse Management and Crop Production, Nursery Operations, Insect and Disease, Herbaceous Plant Materials, Plant Biology, Soil Science, Integrated Pest Management, Professional Gardening, Interior Foliage Plants, and Plant Propagation. In addition to teaching she holds Pesticide Applicator and Tree Inspector licenses and is a MNLA Certified Professional and member of the MNLA Certification Committee.  

Deb is a member of the North American Rock Garden Society, the Minnesota Peony Society, and the Minnesota Rock Garden Society—where she held the position of secretary for several years. She participates in various speaking engagements throughout the year.

After graduating from University of Minnesota Crookston in 1996 with a two-year AAS Landscape Horticulture degree, Deb continued her education and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Plant Industry Management. While attending the university, she started a business named The Garden Korner. Her business performed landscape design and installation and greenhouse crop bedding plant production.  

In 1998, Deb worked for Rice Creek Gardens as their greenhouse manager. In 2000, she joined Hennepin Technical College to share the wealth of knowledge she has accumulated from years in agriculture/farming and greenhouse management. She enjoys growing and propagating plants and gardening.
